The starting point of Fumihisa Kojima’s business activities was Studio Makyu Co., Ltd..

At Studio Makyu Co., Ltd., he has worked on website production, web marketing, listing advertisements, SEO, customer acquisition for stores, portal site development, and system development. Its distinguishing feature has been not only production work, but also business support covering customer acquisition, monetization, operations, and systemization.

He has supported web marketing for a wide range of industries, including e-commerce sites, motorcycle dealers, musical instrument stores, restaurants, and real estate companies. Through web media operations and advertising management, he has accumulated practical experience in attracting people online and growing businesses. In web media, he has created multiple sites exceeding 100 million monthly page views.

Later, drawing on his knowledge of GPGPU and high-performance computing environments, he became involved in supporting the construction of cryptocurrency mining farms, selling GPU rigs, developing mining systems, and supporting the development of cryptocurrency-related systems.

The origins of Biozipcode Inc. lie in advanced joint research that began around 2015. It began when Studio Makyu Co., Ltd. worked with a laboratory at Shiga University of Medical Science to support research software, bioinformatics, and the development of GPGPU computing environments.

That challenge developed into the establishment of Biozipcode Inc. in January 2022. Building on the joint research knowledge and technical foundation developed at Studio Makyu Co., Ltd., a joint research course was established within Shiga University of Medical Science. The company has since promoted full-scale research and development aimed at overcoming diabetes and other intractable diseases, as well as applied research into the cell-targeting peptide technology “Biozipcode™.”

From around 2016, at a relatively early stage in Japan, he became involved in crypto asset mining and blockchain-related businesses. He has supported the construction of multiple large-scale mining farms, designed ASIC and GPU mining environments, and supported their operation.

As crypto assets and blockchain became more widespread, he focused on the importance of anti-money laundering measures, transaction analysis, hacking countermeasures, anti-social forces screening, and compliance checks.

At DMG Blockseer Japan Co., Ltd., he was involved in marketing and implementation support for AML software related to crypto asset transactions. At Japan Credit Information Service Co., Ltd., he was involved in building databases related to anti-social forces and developing and operating compliance check systems.

He continues to be involved at SENARD Co., Ltd. in the development of information collection and investigation systems using anti-social forces screening, compliance checks, web crawling, and natural language processing.

At Biozipcode Inc., Fumihisa Kojima is not a researcher leading the research itself, but is responsible for commercialization to bring research outcomes into society.

Specifically, he is responsible for securing joint research funding, fundraising to continue research, maintaining patents and intellectual property, building relationships with pharmaceutical companies, medical institutions and investors in Japan and overseas, preparing websites and materials, overseas expansion, and discussions with business partners.

In the medical and biotech fields, even outstanding research outcomes cannot advance to social implementation without funding, intellectual property, regulatory strategy, clinical trials, partners, and accountability.

Fumihisa Kojima plays the role of connecting those elements.
